One of the many gems in the new shipment of Clipse, the star attraction is a fresh perspective on the topic of lust. I haven’t heard the “the obsession I have with pursuing and rapping about beautiful women is kind of messed up” take before. It fits in with a number of the tracks on the new album that feature a more mature Clipse looking at their fast-life ways with a fair amount of contrition.

At this point both the Clipse and The Neptunes are so technically sound that whatever the topic, whatever the emotion, it’s gonna be hot. Lucky for us, they’re still pushing forward on their topical game.
